Research description: Dr. Fuorte's research interests and current projects include injury epidemiology, occupational and environmental toxicology and prevention, particularly occupational lung diseases, cancers, neurotoxicity, and asthma. Most of his recent work has revolved around medical screening of former atomic weapons workers in Iowa and serving as an occupational health consultant and educator to local industries and labor organizations – the WORKSAFE IOWA project.
