Research description: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common malignant primary brain tumor. These tumors are often aggressive and infiltrate surrounding brain tissue. Dr. Griguer's research evaluates the hypothesis that the overall survival time of a subject with newly diagnosed GBM tumors, treated with standard of care therapy, is a function of the CcO enzymatic activity in the tumor. In particular, tumors with high CcO activity, are associated with shorter time of overall survival when compared to tumors with low CcO activity.
