Two Human Toxicology Students won Dare to Discover Awards from the University of Iowa. The award recognizes exemplary undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers and scholars. Winners get recognized by the Office of the Vice President of Research and get a banner created which is displayed in downtown Iowa City during the spring.

Valeria Cota is doing research with Dr. Nicole Brogden. Her research focuses on investigating how the neurotransmitter dopamine affects microwound healing in diverse skin types.

Panithi Saktrakulkla was doing his research with Dr. Keri Hornbuckle. His research is focused on the development of measurement techniques and the determination of contamination levels of PCBs.
