Dustin May and Mengshi Li received 2017 US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Radiochemistry Graduate Fellowships that will provide support for them through the completion of their PhD studies. Dustin and Mengshi will combine their research in radiochemistry with opportunities for integration into operations of an institution outside of traditional academics.
The Iowa State Hygienic Laboratory (SHL) has agreed to extend these opportunities to Dustin May, who will continue with professional development at the SHL at the conclusion of his dissertation research.
University of Iowa spin-off Viewpoint Molecular Targeting has extended an internship to Mengshi Li that will provide experience in operations of a startup biotechnology company, and will lead to a post-doctoral position at the conclusion of his PhD studies.
