Dr. Peter Thorne, Associate Program Director of the University of Iowa Human Toxicology Program, was awarded the 2017 University of Iowa Scholar of the Year Award. The award recognizes outstanding research, scholarly, and creative activities by tenured and/or research/clinical track faculty members. Dr. Thorne directs the Occupational and Environmental Health Department in the College of Public Health and the Environmental Health Sciences Research Center. He is also the project leader for projects 6 and 7 of the University of Iowa Superfund Research Program.
