Research description: Dr. Schultz leads the effort in the Department of Radiology and in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry to develop a broad curriculum and research agenda in radiochemistry. Dr Schultz studies the potential environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing and unconventional drilling for natural gas and the potential for liberated radioactivity associated with these activities to impact the local environment and water resources.
