Shri Vishalini Rajaram

Biography

My name is Shri Vishalini Rajaram. Hailing from the southern end of India, I grew up with variegated flora, which propelled me to be an explorer and an inquisitive person. My quest began in childhood, understanding science, enjoying mathematics, and training in classical dance and painting. Backed up with a bachelor's in Genetic Engineering followed by a Master's in Computational Biology, I took every opportunity to learn and research various topics beginning from microbiology, nanobiotechnology, natural product chemistry, theoretical biology, and multi-omics to the hot research area, the next-generation sequencing.

After my master's, I started Build Geeks, a firm that develops biology-based gaming. At the same time, I interacted with hundreds of students, trained them on bioinformatics, and guided them on interdisciplinary research projects. Several notable contributions include muscular dystrophy, gene doping, and non-human Covid detection algorithms. With exposure from various laboratories, working under renowned researchers, and topping my bachelor’s and master’s I built my forte on computational biology.

This program, Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary human toxicology, is an incredible opportunity to plan my long-term career in toxicoinformatics. I hold expertise in Biocuration, R programming, NGS data analytics, Multiomics, Science communication, and Research Writing. I wish to decode the possibilities to streamline my adventures in educating society regarding health and hygiene.
