Research description: Dr. Stevens' research interests include embryonic brain development and the mechanisms by which prenatal environmental factors -- stress, environmental contaminants, and maternal physiological changes -- increase the risk for psychiatric disorders in offspring. Her lab is particularly interested in how cypermethrin may disrupt normal physiological processes in brain development. Dr. Stevens is also Director of the UIHC Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
