My name is Daniel Canales and I am originally from New Jersey where I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (2023) from The College of New Jersey where I did my undergraduate research under Dr. David A Hunt on applying Parham cyclization to systems of 1,2 cyclohexadione.

I am looking forward to apply my chemistry background in the area of Toxicology where, and as of now, I am hoping to move into regulatory affairs in chemistry and safety and the University of Iowa's Toxicology program's interdisciplinary nature where I can learn more about toxicology and its diverse aspects will prepare me for a position in this field.

In my spare time, I like to read books and waste my time browsing the Wall Street Journal.
