Program:
Ph.D.
Year of graduation:
2011

Having worked for the Food and Drug Administration, I realized that toxicology is an indispensable field to keep people safe from toxic substances. I chose the Human Toxicology program at the UI to study profound toxicology in order to understand mechanisms and toxicity of environmental toxic compounds to human health.

Previous education:

BS, Pharmaceutical Science
Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, 2002
MS, Occupational and Environmental Health
The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, 2007
Current research description:

My current research is based on the enzymatic metabolism of PCBs to reactive metabolites and its downstream toxicity. I believe that the knowledge I have gained from this program will be of valuable helps in my future career especially in public-health risk assessment.

Thesis title:

Prostaglandin H Synthase Catalyzes the Oxidation of 4-Chlorobiphenyl Metabolites, and In Vivo Effects on Prostaglandin Production
